Jeanne Schickler Compisi
Jeanne is a 1996 graduate of William Smith College, received her MFA in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1999. She danced professionally in New York City from 1999-2005 with Gina Gibney Dance, Ivy Baldwin Dance and Tap Fusion. Her own work has been presented at Danspace Project, Joyce Soho, the Williamsburg Arts Nexus in NYC, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, University of Rochester and the Nextstage at Geva. While dancing in New York, she became certified in Pilates through the Kane School of Core Integration in 2000. In 2005, Jeanne opened her own Pilates studio, Pilates of Rochester. (www.pilatesofrochester.com) In addition to running her business, Jeanne guest teaches and choreographs modern dance for 25 North Dance Academy and is a proud Mom to Owen and Tessa. Jeanne joined BIODANCE in 2008.
